Acadia is an accessible wonderland on the coast of Maine.

Most of the activities here revolve around water — whether it’s hiking to peaks to get a view of the Atlantic Ocean, trying your luck at whale watching during migration seasons, or swimming, boating and fishing in the park’s many lakes.

This park remains one of Maine’s most famous attractions and is gorgeous at any time of year, though visitors tend to prefer the fall, when the Acadia forest turns red and provides a striking contrast to the ocean.
