Natasha Lyonne Grounds Her Own Runway After The Euphoria Premiere With An Unexpected Delta Exit
Red carpets usually end with after-parties or another stop on the schedule. That wasn’t the case for Natasha Lyonne. After attending the season three premiere of Euphoria in Los Angeles, she headed straight to the airport to catch a flight to New York. The night took an unexpected turn when, according to reports, airline staff asked her to leave the plane before it even took off.

Natasha Lyonne arrived at the Los Angeles premiere of Euphoria on Tuesday evening in an outfit that drew immediate attention. She wore a sheer mesh top and attended the event alongside a crowd of familiar faces from the entertainment industry. The premiere marked another major moment for the HBO series as it introduced its newest season to fans and press.
The night continued with another appearance at the 2026 Fashion Trust U.S. Awards. After the red carpet events wrapped, Lyonne reportedly made her way to the airport for a late flight to New York. The plan followed a familiar pattern for an actor managing appearances across both coasts.
Trouble Before Takeoff

Reports from passengers and media outlets say the situation unfolded after Lyonne boarded a Delta flight preparing to depart Los Angeles. Flight attendants instructed passengers to secure seatbelts and close electronic devices before takeoff. Apparently, Lyonne did not respond to several crew instructions.
Witnesses reportedly described her as appearing unresponsive during the exchange. Airline staff repeated the request several times as they prepared the cabin for departure. Crew members even removed her laptop and continued attempting to communicate with her.
At one point, a staff member asked whether she needed medical attention. Witnesses said she appeared startled when addressed and briefly asked where the plane was located.
A Taxi Toward The Runway That Never Finished
The aircraft had already begun moving toward the runway when the situation reached a turning point. The plane soon returned to the gate so airline staff could address the issue directly.
A Delta employee boarded the plane and spoke with Lyonne near her seat in first class. According to passenger accounts, the employee said the aircraft would not continue the flight unless she left the plane.
The conversation ended when Lyonne gathered her belongings and exited the aircraft. Passengers later heard an announcement from the cockpit explaining the delay. The captain told travelers that a passenger had been unable to follow basic instructions required before departure and would be rebooked on another flight.

The interruption is said to have added more than an hour to the flight’s schedule. Delta did not issue a detailed public statement about the situation and declined to comment.
The incident also affected Lyonne’s next scheduled appearance. She had been booked to appear the following day on The Drew Barrymore Show in New York. The actress did not make the taping.
Lyonne later acknowledged the missed appearance in a short message on social media. In a post on X, she wrote that she had been looking forward to speaking with Drew Barrymore and expressed support for Transportation Security Administration workers.
The post did not address the flight incident directly or explain the circumstances surrounding her reported removal from the aircraft.
Back In Front Of Cameras Two Days Later
Despite the disruption, Lyonne appeared publicly in New York soon afterward. Two days after the flight incident, she attended the premiere of the documentary Lorne at Lincoln Center.
Her appearance marked a noticeable contrast from the outfit she wore earlier in the week. This time, she arrived in a structured black skirt suit with strong shoulder pads and tall boots. Photographers captured her walking the red carpet with a composed expression as the event unfolded.
The premiere focused on television producer Lorne Michaels, the creator of Saturday Night Live. Lyonne’s presence confirmed that her cross-country trip eventually resumed, even if the journey included an unexpected stop at the airport gate.
