5 Incredible New Attractions Making a History-Making Disney World Debut
A visit to Disney World always comes with something new to discover, but summer 2026 feels different. Within just a few weeks, Disney rolled out a mix of brand-new attractions, updated experiences, and long-awaited character appearances across the resort. Fans of Star Wars, the Muppets, Bluey, and classic Disney favorites all have something to look forward to.
A few of the installs are entirely new, while others give familiar favorites a fresh identity. So here are five of the most notable additions leading Disney World’s biggest attraction push of the summer.
Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets
After closing on March 1 for a major overhaul, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster officially reopened on May 26 with a completely new cast of stars. The high-speed coaster still launches riders through twists, turns, and inversions, but Aerosmith has stepped aside for the Muppets and their house band, The Electric Mayhem. The story follows the band’s frantic effort to make it to a major Hollywood concert, a premise that feels right at home on a coaster built around speed, chaos, and close calls.
One of the unique additions appears before riders even board. Disney introduced its first audio-animatronic Scooter, who tries to keep the group on schedule while the band creates one distraction after another. Guests also hear a rotating soundtrack featuring songs connected to The Electric Mayhem and several well-known musical collaborators.
A New Mission on Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run
Disney’s Hollywood Studios also received a major update for Star Wars fans on May 22. Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run now includes a mission featuring The Mandalorian and Grogu. Instead of following the same storyline every time, crews can travel to different destinations, including Bespin and Coruscant, adding more variety to repeat rides.
The update also gives each role more to do. Pilots, gunners, and engineers receive new responsibilities throughout the mission. Engineers even interact directly with Grogu during parts of the adventure, making the experience feel more closely aligned with current Star Wars storytelling. For an attraction that first opened in 2019, the new mission gives returning visitors a reason to climb back into the cockpit.
Bluey’s Wild World at Conservation Station
Bluey and Bingo finally arrived at Disney World on May 26 with the opening of Bluey’s Wild World at Conservation Station in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Located in Rafiki’s Planet Watch, the experience brings the popular animated series to life through character meet-and-greets and interactive activities.
Kids can play games inspired by the show, including Keepy Uppy, spend time with Bluey and Bingo, and explore the animal exhibits already found at Conservation Station. Families can also look into veterinary care areas and see animals such as kangaroos and wallabies. Interest has been so high that Disney added a virtual queue through the My Disney Experience app to help manage the crowds.
Soarin’ Across America
EPCOT’s popular flight simulator received a temporary but significant makeover tied to America’s upcoming 250th birthday celebrations. Beginning May 26, Soarin’ Across America replaced the international version of the attraction with a journey focused entirely on United States landmarks and landscapes.
Guests soar above destinations such as Kennedy Space Center, Washington, D.C., and the Grand Canyon through footage captured with aerial cinematography. The ride system itself remains familiar, allowing Disney to refresh the experience without changing what fans already enjoy.
Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live!
Disney also added something aimed squarely at its youngest visitors. Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live! opened May 26 at Hollywood Studios and brings Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Daisy, and Pluto together for an interactive stage show.
The story revolves around a party that quickly goes off track, giving kids plenty of opportunities to sing, dance, and participate. The attraction serves another purpose during Florida’s hottest months. As an indoor show, it provides families with a comfortable break while still delivering entertainment.
